Gravitec Systems, Inc., a leading provider of fall protection and rescue services, will be moving and expanding its operations. The company plans to relocate to a larger facility in Poulsbo, Wash., and has several new job openings. 

General Accountant

Gravitec Systems seeks an energetic, detail-oriented individual to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, works well independently, has strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving capabilities. We value professionalism, enthusiasm, flexibility and a "can do" attitude.

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
  • Understands general ledger reconciliations.
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining accounting procedures.
  • Payroll (experience with ADP is a plus).
  • Experience with PeachTree or similar accounting software.
  • 5 years of accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA in Accounting or equivalent in experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the full accounting cycle.
  • Exceptional computer skills and experience with integration of multiple programs (Peachtree, QuoteWerks, ACT!).

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Fall Protection/Rope Access Instructor

Gravitec Systems, Inc., is one of the largest fall protection training and engineering companies in North America. We protect the lives, health and jobs of those who work at heights by providing a full range of high-quality fall protection services, including training, engineering, consulting, specialized testing and technical equipment sales.

We are looking for an individual to work as a member of our team in industrial fall protection and rescue as a fall protection/rope access rescue instructor. This is the perfect job for those who love teaching, working at heights and travel. Duties and/or requirements of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Frequent travel throughout North America (occasionally abroad)
* Training of students in the proper use of fall protection, rope access and rescue equipment
* Installation and maintenance of fall protection systems in elevated work environments

Job Requirements:
Candidates must be comfortable performing strenuous physical activities at height. The following types of experience are helpful, but not mandatory: safety, mountaineering, construction, tree care, outdoor recreation, window cleaning, climbing, search & rescue, rope access (SPRAT/IRATA), military and/or emergency response. Training will be provided. Fluency in Spanish is necessary; Professionalism is a must. Most importantly, we are looking for people with a positive attitude, willingness to travel, and learn new things.

Structural/Civil Structural Engineer


Gravitec Systems, Inc., a leading provider of fall protection and rescue services, will be moving and expanding its operations. The company plans to relocate to a larger facility in the Poulsbo area is currently seeking a full-time STRUCTURAL or CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (PE preferred but not required) with structural design and project management abilities. The selected individual will play a key role in our continued growth.

Ideal candidates will have experience with:
• Scoping projects
• Preparing structural design calculations
• Designing engineered solutions (familiar with the AISC, NDS, ASCE, and ACI design manuals)
• Overseeing a design from inception to installation
• Coordinating field projects
• Assisting in the installation of the designed projects

Experience in fall protection is helpful, but we are most interested in people with project and staff management experience and a willingness to learn. Good oral and written communication skills; a penchant for detail; and an ability to work independently as well as to lead teams are also important.
