Gravitec Experts Say: DBI-SALA's Force2 100% Tie-Off Rescue Lanyard for Wind Energy is definitely in the heavyweight division. Not only for its size, but also its performance. This lanyard is designed for individuals weighing up to 310 lbs. (140 kg) and can resist up to a 12' (3.6 m) free fall. It has also been tested for 6' (1.8 m) free falls on individuals weighing up to 420 lbs. (190 kg). This is important when working on top of a nacelle (or other structure) where the only available tie off point is at your feet. This product comes complete with 3" gated Saflok Max™ steel hooks to tie off around large rails and anchor points or 2-1/4" gated, aluminum snaphooks to reduce lanyard weight. Elastic webbing reduces trip hazards and keeps the lanyard leg out of the worker's way. High-visibility, orange webbing (shown here) is available for better visibility and insurance that the crew is tied off. The PVC shock pack cover protects labeling and the nylon shock pack from abrasion while climbing and descending towers.
