DBI-SALA's Force2 Shock Absorbing Lanyard is the only lanyard available on the market that can take a 12' free fall and still keep forces below OSHA's limits when tying off at your feet. Use this powerful lanyard when there is no overhead anchorage and your only option is to tie off at your feet, a situation often faced by iron workers. Because this creates a much greater free fall distance, standard shock absorbers will bottom out, putting dangerous forces on the body. This product can also be used with a greater capacity lanyard if required for the worker. It is 6' in length with 1" polyester webbing for durability and longevity. There are easy-to-use, self-locking snaphooks at both ends and a soft cover shock absorber for comfort. It has a dual capacity rating: Up to 310 lb. capacity - can be used for a 12' free fall; 311 lb. to 420 lb. capacity - can be used for a 6' free fall. It meets or exceeds all industry standards for fall arrest forces including OSHA.
