Self-jamming pulleys like the PRO TRAXION have revolutionized rope rescue because they have eliminated the need for Prusiks in many situations. This product is a very efficient self-jamming pulley designed for hauling heavy loads and rescue. A large diameter sheave is mounted on sealed ball bearings. The trigger cam with teeth and cleaning slot keeps this pulley working on dirty or icy ropes. A swinging side plate permits the rope to be installed once the pulley is in place. An auxiliary attachment point creates different types of hauling systems. The cam can be locked in the open position so the device can be used as a simple pulley. The PRO TRAXION is designed for use on ropes between 8 mm and 13 mm in diameter. With a bottom becket (termination eye), a number of different pulley combinations and mechanical advantages can be built.
