MSA's Suretyman Rescue Utility System is a 4:1 rescue pulley system with anti-reversing pulleys for rescue in a confined space application or from heights. It allows for self or remote operation. The system incorporates all the features professionals have come to expect from a first class rescue system, including versatility. It is primarily used for raising and lowering people or equipment in rescue and industrial work access and is ideal for confined space applications. System pulleys are equipped with a built-in anti-reversing lock. Only a ten pounds of force is required to hold a 220 lb. (90 kg) load. A Suretyman ascender is attached to both the operating rope and the user via a securing rope that will automatically stop the descent if the operating rope accidentally releases. This system offers rapid deployment, is virtually maintenance-free and is rated for a two-person load. It's compact and lightweight with a standard system weight of only 17 lbs. (7.7 kg). It has a rated capacity of 600 lbs. (272 kg) for personnel and materials. The system has a standard rope length of 200' (66 m) with a maximum rope length of 600' (200 m).
