PETZL GRILLON MGO Lanyard
Item #POS-PT-L52-3MG
$240.00
Petzl's GRILLON MGO Lanyard is compact and adjustable and includes an MGO connector. It also has a mechanical adjustment system with a pivoting cam for work positioning. It connects to a harness' ventral attachment point (suspended user) or to the two lateral attachment points (standing user). A sliding protection sheath protects the contact points of the rope from abrasion. It is designed to clip onto metal structures, cables and large-diameter bars. The automatic-locking MGO connector has a large opening and stays permanently in place at the end of the lanyard. This model is equipped with a handle to help release the rope under tension (when attached to the ventral loop of the harness). This lanyard is 3 m in length. Simply the most user-friendly work positioning lanyard available, the GRILLON uses a modified GRIGRI to adjust an abrasion-protected length of rope. Going from hip to hip, the GRILLON can be adjusted with one hand, a critical feature when you are holding on with the other. Used with a fall arrest system, its versatility has made it part of every climber's personal gear. The GRILLON is best ordered with two steel, auto-locking, 3,600 lb. gate, carabiners rather than snaphooks. Work positioning systems are in an ever-changing state of tension and slack, so the constantly rolling connectors should be of the highest quality possible. The GRILLON isn't manufactured or advertised as an ANSI-compliant work-positioning lanyard, so if you do use it, make sure that it is never used singularly and always has a proper fall arrest system backing it up.
