Bainbridge Island, Wash. - December 10, 2007 - The holidays are upon us and Gravitec Systems, Inc., would like to say season's greetings to our past, present and future clients. You're part of the Gravitec family and we hope you had a safe year. Here at Gravitec, 2007 was an exciting year, so please permit us to reflect briefly on the highlights of this past year.
- We kicked off 2007 by relocating our Bainbridge Island facilities to a brand-new business park last winter. Two industrial-style buildings now house our offices, a state-of-the-art classroom and the Gravitec Training Institute (GTI), North America's largest hands-on training facility dedicated to fall protection. This year over 500 students had the opportunity to test their fall protection skills on four towers in this warm and dry environment.
- Our instructors conducted fall protection courses for government and business leaders around the globe this past year. They logged over 50,000 student-training-hours at the GTI and in their travels to Canada and Korea, to Italy and Japan, and to Hawaii and the North Slope in Alaska.
- Our president and founder Randall Wingfield chaired the American National Standards Institute's (ANSI) Z359 Accredited Standards Committee this year. On Nov. 24, 2007, the new ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Code went into effect.
- We're wrapping up 2007 with the launch of our redesigned website. Take some time to visit our new web pages. They include stunning photographs of our instructors and installers working on dams, wind turbines, cell phone towers, theme park attractions and metropolitan high rises.
