Course Description

This course provides participants with sufficient technical knowledge and the necessary resource materials for delivering professional, in-house fall protection training. Written and practical tests are administered to ensure that the principles presented in the course are understood. Documentation is available to satisfy your company’s due diligence and regulatory requirements.

This course meets the Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training, the highest industry standards for training, published by the American Society of Safety Engineers ANSI/ASSE A490.1-2001.

Gravitec can supply all necessary fall protection equipment for this course.

No cell phones, pagers, personal digital assistants or similar devices will be permitted during training.

Prerequisites:

Preferred: Competent Person level of training (suggested regulations and reading material are available upon request)
Required: Previous experience in some level of adult, skill-oriented training

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be capable of teaching site-specific fall protection programs to their company personnel using the materials distributed during the course. Materials include PowerPoint presentations, exams, case studies, exercises, lesson plans, regulations, and documentation records. Participants will also understand and be capable of teaching from a complete reference guide and instructor field manual and use these guides to design a site-specific program that complies with state and federal fall protection training requirements.
